We are a community focused organisation that supports young people and helps build stronger communities.
Pathway Plus works with 16 to 23 year olds. We offer accredited training and real work experience. We help young people build confidence through structured progression routes.
Our mission is simple: to empower our local young people and give them purpose. We give young people a head start, help them learn new skills, and offer real opportunities to succeed.
Participation is free and open to all. We work with local businesses and youth groups to give young people opportunities to grow through participation.
Hi, I’m Jack Hanna. I like to think of myself as a professional people person, part-time overthinker, and full time believer that most problems can be solved with a good chat and maybe a nice meal… I try not too take myself too seriously as (life’s usually easier that way), but I do take my community seriously.
Small opportunities and positive pathways build strong communities and even greater people. This is why I started this project. As a young man myself, I aim to help guide our youth during their already difficult time and encourage positive choices.
I deeply care about local businesses and know our young people can assist them while gaining valuable experience and educating themselves. I also know it’s never too late to make a positive impact on your community :)
Once signed up and successfully joined, you will have a quick chat via Zoom with Pathway Plus and other participants explaining the programme details.
An introduction day at the workplace will show you where your work experience will take place and allow you to meet the team.
1 day per week is dedicated to completing your OCN qualification relevant to your placement. You will also attend your work experience sessions during this time, with length and timing varying between placements and participants.
You will be the first to know whenever we receive updates about your placement, schedule, or progress.
The programme is complete once both your OCN qualification and work experience are successfully finished.
We want this programme to be accessible to everyone, so there are no charges for participants.
Participants complete an OCN qualification that aligns with their placement. For example, a hospitality placement earns a hospitality OCN.
It’s perfectly normal to be unsure! Participation helps you explore options, build skills, and gain experience that can guide your next steps.
Across Northern Ireland, too many young people grow up facing limited opportunities and negative influences. Youth violence and community division often stem from lack of direction, belief and access to positive pathways.
We believe opportunity changes lives. When young people are supported properly, they choose growth, employment and leadership within their communities.
When one young person succeeds, families feel it. Communities feel it. Stronger opportunities create stronger streets.
If you are a local business and would like to offer work experience placements, please fill out the form below. Pathway Plus will get in touch with you to discuss partnership opportunities.
